Working on decreasing the consumption of water, food, energy, clothing, etc. within our school community. Our students have come up with an action plan to reduce irresponsible consumption of resources in our school of about 3000 students, teachers and staff. So far, they have contacted the people from administration and academic staff for help to improve their ideas.

Our students have already taken the initiative to reduce irresponsible consumption within our school community. Our student group established contact with Rural Focus Initiative Uganda to learn about their approach to economic, ecological and social sustainability and how it could translate to other contexts and other countries. Rethinking development aid is a continued challenge the world is facing and the way we think about the term defines its future. Therefore, we want to carry the concept of RuFI into classrooms and explore its meaning for us as a whole, even if we are living thousands of kilometers away.

The project aims to track energy and resource usage at ISL (International School of Learning). By utilizing data visualization techniques, the project intends to raise awareness within the community about their environmental impact. The findings from our energy audit will be used to generate new initiatives aimed at reducing resource consumption. The discussion will focus on the challenges encountered in developing and executing projects, accompanied by an exchange of advice aimed to achieve success within your contexts. The conversation is structured around the three thematic categories outlined by Rischard (2002): "Sharing our planet" addressing issues concerning global commons, "Sharing our humanity" encompassing matters requiring a global commitment, and "Sharing our rule book" centering on issues necessitating a global regulatory approach. Participants are encouraged to select one of these themes to guide their reflections within the group discussion.

Culinary Compassion in Action
Workshop description
The workshop will outline our impactful journey in addressing SDG 1, 2 and 4 within our local community. Our movement, Plate For Purpose, emphasises the importance of food education for all, particularly amongst the underprivileged local communities. Our workshop will delve into an annual education initiative we launched in March 2022 called Culinary Compassion, a series of food preparation workshops aimed towards young students from a local school called Sekolah Maleo. This was initially designed to equip and empower these students with culinary skills and knowledge that they may not have had access to otherwise, but has since evolved into more in-depth lessons that are relevant to them at their age and living conditions, such as nutrition requirements, food safety and food preparation.

Change only happens when everyone plays a part. That's why we decided to become active ambassadors of sustainability by facilitating workshops in our community around some of the biggest issues in our city, Milan: increasing homelessness, air pollution, fast fashion & waste management. Throughout the year, we organise events and go to classrooms to teach other students about the severity of these issues and how everyone can do something for a more sustainable future in every regard. We seek to show easy ways to improve sustainable acting in peoples' everyday lives, making sustainability the new "chic".

Through interactive workshops we address the current issue of the fast fashion industry by raising awareness and promoting simple and sustainable habits that can be applied to daily life.
Buy someone a breakfast
We are collecting donations for a local charity organization who provides daily meals to homeless people. With this project we want to reduce social inequality and help fight poverty.
Rufi
Rufi (Rural Focus Initiative) is a sustainable organization which is supporting woman in Uganda to be financially self sufficient by giving learning a skill sets
ClassRoots
This project revolves around creating a greener world to live in. We want to help the students develop a so called green consciousness by letting students raise a plant as a class.
